Bicipital Groove Inflammation
The biceps tendon is exposed at the front of the shoulder as it goes through the humeral bicipital groove intertubercular groove and attaches to the superior glenoid tubercle of the scapula.

Inflammation of the biceps tendon within the intertubercular bicipital groove is called primary biceps tendinitis which occurs in 5 percent of patients with biceps tendinitis 1 the 95 percent. Bicipital tenosynovitis is inflammation of the origin of the biceps tendon and its surrounding tendon sheath.
